Discover the splendor of our beautiful property boasting a 7-acre lake, expansive river frontage, and miles of winding hiking trails. Immerse yourself in nature's wonders, with abundant wildlife and flourishing gardens to explore. Conveniently located mere minutes from breweries, vineyards, and world-class restaurants, our property offers the perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility. Enjoy breathtaking mountain views and easy access to Shenandoah National Park, just ten miles away. Nestled within nature's embrace, our retreat is a mere 90-minute drive from Washington, DC, and only 75 minutes from Charlottesville. Experience the best of both worlds as you escape the city and embrace the serenity of the countryside.Campers with tents or pop ups and four or all wheel drive are best suited for the site in our beautiful field next to the river. In that same pasture is a shed with overhang in case of inclimate weather, electricity and water spigot. Guests with larger rigs will want to park near the house with views of the lake. There is a road with a hill down to the river that would give larger rigs a challenge. Best to park safely and hike all around the property, fish, etc. All campers will have access to miles of trails, use of boats and fishing. Guests can also use our fire pit near the house overlooking lake and mountains. Loud music discouraged on property, it disturbs the wildlife. Cell service works best for Sprint, T Mobile and Verizon customers.

Wonderful
Lynda’s campground is spectacular. Big trees, open grassy areas, beautiful trails, a little creek, and private pond - this place has it all and I loved that my dog could run around off-leash. Lynda is a truly hospitable host. She greeted us when we arrived and made us feel welcomed right away. Surprisingly, we had no issues with bugs. I was prepared to get devoured by mosquitoes being by the water, but I didn’t get a single bite. Do yourself and your family a favor and stay here!

Peaceful, lots of space
We had a great trip, there’s lots of open space to camp, play games, and explore down by the river and plenty of shade. We enjoyed the boats on the pond, and the host was very kind.

Beaver Cove: River-side wonderful
What an idyllic spot! Peaceful & beautiful. Swam in the lake one day & splashed in the little river the other. Great location near Shenandoah National Park (20 min). Driving to & from Dc, we had great lunches en route at Patty O’s (little Washington) and Red Truck Bakery (Marshall). We will definitely return in fall for the leaves.

What an amazing space. Thank you!
What a perfect time. The space is so wonderful and cared for. The kids & adults all had a blast and the hosts could not have been more welcoming, helpful and kind. We walked in the river, had fun fishing adventures, used their boats on the pond, swam, hiked and relaxed in the most beautiful setting. I had the best night's sleep in a long time. The pictures are just a hint of what you'll experience when you come here. It is one of those special places you'll always remember. I can't recommend place enough and hope we can make it a tradition. Thank you so much for making it available for us to camp!

Shenandoah treasure
For a westerner on a lengthy trip chasing eden, I couldn't have asked for a more peaceful, rejuvenating or idyllic experience. Lynda and Bill were the consummate hosts - like the area itself, rich with living history, generous with hospitality and gracious beyond words. We set up creekside and awoke to dew in the meadow and a serenade of songbirds. The river was a welcome relief and the dogs were in heaven. The only caveat was an abundance of ticks in late April, no doubt typical of the area and season. A small price to pay for paradise.

Great spot!
The property was beautiful, with options by the lake or river. Open areas and wooded areas. This was our first adventure on Hipcamp and really enjoyed our selves. Will be staying here again.
